Simon – Quality control manager

I started at Haste in June 2015 as a Network Incident Engineer and have worked my way up to Quality Control Manager. I am based at the Coalville site and I travel all around the country.

My job is very varied as I have to have knowledge in all areas of Revenue Protection from the point of a job request coming in from our customer, right up until the point where a warrant has to be applied for and scheduled due to safety concerns. After assessing all job reports at a property, a warrant will only be applied for if we have been refused access multiple times. I also schedule/plan the jobs for the engineers and take large numbers of incoming calls from engineers, customers and suppliers. No job is ever the same and I have to assess each one on an individual basis, so there is a lot diversity and new challenges with each one and with every new day. The paramount part of my role in this area, is always safety and communication for both the customers/general public and our own engineers. I am lucky to work alongside a great team, from higher Management, Administration right to the Operatives in the field, doing the amazing job that they do keeping everyone safe.
